Days 2 & 3: Rain and Early Exhaustion

The walking has been slow. Each step I try to problem-solve, “What can I send home?” And then I end up using that piece of gear. There’s a calculation with being in better shape, you can walk more miles per day. If you can walk more miles, you need less food, because you’ll get to your resupply quicker. You can also carry a few less items in your pack because you won’t feel so icky wearing the same socks for 6 days.

Rain on the night on Day 3 started as I was setting up camp just up a hill on Tramway Creek. I got everything set up before it started pouring. Blue skies and coffee made up for it on the morning of Day 4.
