Days 3-5

No cell service continues. Thanks to trail angel on day two at Carson Pass who have me a lighter. Now I don’t have to eat hard, freeze dried food and only sunflower butter.

The lucky quarter I also found came through.

Day five also brought an interaction with Spirit Walker, a PCT hiker who had stopped at the side of the trail and was trying to fix his glasses with very slow drying super glue and a thread he’d pulled from his shirt.

I held it steady while he glued and tied. He’s legally blind without glasses and thought that broken glasses would be the end of his hike. When I left, things were looking good.

Lots of wildflowers, too.
